We are situated on 200 of the most beautiful acres of land. Our magnificent Masten Lake with its sandy beaches and diverse waterfront sports has helped make Lakota a family tradition for 90 years. Founded in 1924, and built on the grounds of an historic Sullivan County Estate and Hotel, Camp Lakota has been under continuous family ownership since its beginnings. Indeed, Camp Lakota has always been about family, and has been providing nurturing, safe, and exciting summers for co-ed campers for over 90 years. Our campus radiates out from the original estate mansion that was built in the early 1900’s. We now use this building as our Arts & Crafts center. Camp Lakota has a wide range of exciting and diverse activities. Our campers participate in all of these great activities throughout the summer and each camper, through our elective program (three choices daily), can focus on their favorite activities and those activities in which they have found new interest.
At Camp Lakota, we believe we have the best staff in camping, and we believe this because we, through years of experience, recruit and hire staff that rise through our rigorous review process and meet and exceed our very high standards.
